W9D1- ahead of schedule

i was encouraged to set a small goal when i first started the c25k program.  tom and branan suggested the watermelon classic 5k. seems like i remember them saying that the watermelon classic was the first run they did when they were starting out.  this year, it is july 3.  less than two weeks away. dan asked me what my goal was to finish it in.  i said 34 minutes.  that is just under 11 min/mile.

i pulled my calf last weekend at 26 miles into a 4 mile run/walk.  so, i gave it three days rest.  last night after supper i ran around the lake at about 9:30.  the fajitas and chips and salsa were weighing me down.  nike+ says i did 2.75 miles in 30'8"... that is a 10'57"/mile pace.  i was happy with that.

saturday we are supposed to do 4 miles for the MM 5k-half training.  i will probaly set the nike+ on 5k and when im done with that, walk out the rest.  c25k...from the couch to 5k in nine weeks. the goal is in sight.  saturday will be W9D3.

saturday, june 26 will be 60 days from the very first c25k run.  thats 8 weeks and 4 days. 3 days ahead of schedule.
