ive been going home during lunch to run around the neighborhood lake. its about 2.5 miles. today it was hot as blue blazes...and its not even june yet. i did W4D2 and was feeling pretty good until the beginning of the second five minute run. i came out of my second 90 second walk about 2/3 up the last hill...by the time i got to the top i felt like i had run out of gas....on the plus side, my mind told me i opened her up in the last minute, but to the unsuspecting passing vehicles, it probably looked like little less that a fast walk. after a quick shower and a bite to eat, i feel great.
ive been considering the marathon makeover 5k-half program that kicks off on june 19. i should be done with W8D3 on june 19. accordingly, my daily run should be about 28 minutes. im hoping the 5k-half won't be too big of a jump. i guess we will have to find out.
