and we're off....

so W1D1 is in the books.  sunny and seventy at the purks ymca.  i'm using robert ullrey's c25k podcasts and they are extermemely helpful in keeping up with your run/walk intervals.  the podcasts have music voiced over with prompts on when to walk and when to run.  virtually fool proof. 

i did experience some discomfort in the shins, but im not sure if it is a footwear issue or just lack of conditioning. we will see what happens over the course of the next week or so. 

right now, i'm planning on running mon, wed, fri with weight conditioning on tues and thurs.  my upper body is pretty soft right now and i'm not looking to add muscle mass.  just trying to get them in shape for when the pounds start melting.  any suggestions?
